Controlled elevator removal
Elevator Dismantling Services
Controlled removal of existing elevator systems for replacement, modernization, decommissioning and building rehabilitation projects.

Service overview
Planned Dismantling — Not Uncontrolled Demolition
Removing an existing elevator requires controlled sequencing, site protection and proper handling of components within the elevator shaft, landing areas and equipment spaces.
ElevPh Builders Corporation provides elevator dismantling services for existing buildings undergoing elevator replacement, modernization, renovation or broader rehabilitation works.
The dismantling scope is planned around the actual elevator configuration, building access, project requirements and condition of the existing equipment.
Project planning
When Is Elevator Dismantling Required?
Elevator dismantling may form part of a project when an existing system is being:
- replaced with a new elevator
- removed before major modernization
- decommissioned
- removed during building rehabilitation
- cleared from an existing shaft for succeeding construction works
Every project should first be reviewed according to the existing equipment, shaft conditions, access restrictions and required project sequence.

Typical approved scope
Controlled Dismantling Scope
Depending on the approved project requirements, ElevPh's dismantling work may include:
- work-area isolation and preparation
- landing-opening protection
- temporary board-up where required
- removal of cabin finishes and assemblies
- dismantling of landing-door components
- controlled removal of selected shaft equipment
- dismantling of mechanical components
- dismantling of electrical/control components
- removal of machine-room or machinery components where included in scope
- staging and segregation of dismantled materials
- preparation of the elevator area for succeeding project works
Turnover, transport or disposal of dismantled equipment is included only when specifically stated in the client's approved contract.
Site protection and access control
Protecting the Building During Dismantling
Elevator dismantling takes place inside an active building structure and often involves open landing entrances, shaft access, heavy components and restricted work areas.
ElevPh uses planned work sequencing, temporary barriers, board-up and work-area controls according to actual site requirements.
The objective is to remove existing equipment in a controlled manner while protecting surrounding areas and preparing the elevator space for the next stage of the project.
